Worst Service Ever!!

I was extremely disappointed in the service I received. To start, the price that was initially quoted was increased when the movers arrived. They ask that you have cash or cashiers check for the payment but the price had increased by hundreds of dollars. Next when I received my things, all of the boxes were damaged, beat up, and soggy. The movers also completely shattered my tempered glass bar into tiny pieces. The entire time they were brining in my things, they were being rude and mumbling under their breath, and one of the men was not even wearing a mask. Upon going out to the moving truck to ask for a copy of my paper work, I witnessed one of the movers throwing a box onto the ground, causing its contents to spill out. I still have not heard back from anyone within this company after attempting multiple times to speak with/contact management. I have never been treated so poorly while paying for a service, I would never recommend this moving company to anyone.

Ok I had to move for a new job, so I searched and asked around and decided, why not let me give them a try and I was not disapointed. It was really easy to schedule the move and they was so nice, they worked with me on the price of the move which I really apreciate. Oh yea can't forget how smooth everything went and all my furniture arrived undamaged.

Long-distance move from West Des Moines, IA to Mechanicsburg, PA

Terrible Experience

We recently used Mission Moving for our move and it was the worst experience of our lives with moving. We have moved several times across state lines, however I cant say how bad this was. My price was doubled 1 week prior to our move and the company they hired to move us caused me over $1,500 in damage and stolen property. Mission did noting to satisfy my claim issues. They said that they would need two trucks, only one ever showed up, they said that the move out and in would be a day per, and that didn't happen, and when I made my complaints of the damaged that was done to our new home I received no response.

Hello,

Thank you for providing the proper name and allowing us to locate the proper file for you. We do apologize if during the moving process you incurred broken/damaged/ or lost items. It appears that the lost firearm and damage to the door and drywall was brought to our attention and relayed to the carrier. There is also a note of your file stating that the carrier said to you he would take care of it. It also appears that the necessary claims information was emailed over to you allowing you to file a claim with the insurance carrier. Please understand that our job was to locate a licensed carrier to pick up the goods, we never came in contact with any of your goods. We do understand your frustration and take responsibility for dispatching this particular carrier. Please reach out to our customer service department as we are here to assist in any way possible. It appears we have provided the contact info directly to the carrier for you if you would like to reach out on your own behalf.

Long-distance move from Clayton, CA to Randolph, WI

Broker could not locate a mover, than wanted to charge more

My mom scheuduled a move using Mission Moving LLC, 200 Knuth Rd. Suite 204 Boynton Beach Fl 33436 to move 10 medium boxes, 3 curio cabinets, 1 grandfather clock, and a cedar chest to Randolph Wisconsin. She completed the scheduling in April 2021 for a move in June 2021. She was contacted in June by Mission Moving LLC, stating that a mover was not available for her at the agreed upon date window, and if she could postpone. She agreed to postpone till July. She was then contacted by Mission Moving stating no mover was available to move her in July, and requested she postpone again. She agreed to postpone again till the end of August. Patty with Mission Moving contacted her again on Aug 30 2021 stating due to costs beyond Mission Moving LLC's control she could either agree to pay more ($7.50 per cubic foot, $2.95 more than the binding estimate) or postpone the move till January 2022. I confirmed this cost estimate with Rick Steele, Head of Retention and Cancellations department for Mission Moving LLC. We asked what would Misson Moving LLC do if she cancelled, and she was offered a 50% refund. She stated she would like further review, where Rick Steele said it would require A "Board Review", when pressed on who was on this "Board" no further information would be given as per Rick "it was not important to the situation, and none of our business." We requested the supervisor for Rick Steele, where after pressing Rick, who was very reluctant to give us his supervisors name, finally told us Dan Morris was his direct supervisor. After doing some research, the only employee I can find listed that actually works for this company is Daniel Heimbender - Owner and officer listed in the incorporation documents. We are filing a complaint as no services were rendered, no moving company was ever booked, no moving staff came to pick up her goods, and her items remain at the pickup address as of no fault of her own. Nor due to any stated contract limitations (Section 4 of the contract, "Due to situations beyond our control, such as, but not limited to, inclement weather, mechanical breakdowns, road construction, remote pickup or drop off locations, difficult or limited lanes of travel, etc.) Since none of these reasons apply for her move, and the broker has been unable to complete the contract by finding a suitable moving company in the listed time frame, and the pickup address has had sunny weather, boxes ready for pickup, since June of 2021, She is requesting a full refund of her depoisit (broker fee), due to a lack of confidence that the broker will be able to fulfill the contract ever.

**depending on outcome of this complaint, I reserve the right to amend, change, or remove it entirely.

Official company response

Hello,
When reviewing the file it appears the customer placed their move on hold. They later (during the very busy season and pandemic) wanted to put move back on. We then told them the cost would have to be more due to the increase in demand and lack of trucks/labor. They didn't want to pay the industry rates for the time being. We continued to try and dispatch her at the original rate but unfortunately were unable to locate a carrier willing to take the job.
We do apologize for this inconvenience, however the situation with covid and the pandemic made this very difficult for us to accomplish. This occurred industry wide as well as other transportation industries. These unforeseen circumstances are unfortunate and us movers are doing our best, nobody saw this coming.
Sorry for any inconveniences with us.

Long-distance move from Long Beach, CA to Milwaukee, WI

Do not use

I recently (July 2021) had a cross country move through this company from Long Beach CA to Milwaukee WI. The main people I talked to were a Neil Edwards and a Chris Capri and man do they weave a good tale. I give them credit, they are smooth talkers and definitely good at their job as con artists. So basically what they do is outsource moves to other moving companies which is what happened to me, they outsourced me to a Brooklyn Moving Inc, and all you have to do is go look at their reviews to see what kind of moving company they are. In my case multiple lamps broken, a bed frame broken and somehow a queen mattress and box spring lost (stolen or thrown away I’m guessing).

But back to Mission Moving, to start I was told I wouldn’t be charged a long carry fee, because I was on the second floor of my building and I was moving to a residential neighborhood that was a house. Guess what? Brooklyn moving charged me.

Also I was told I’d be contacted by the movers a day or two before they came to grab my stuff. So a day before the 2 day window I get a message from Chris Capri and a Michael Price saying the move will be 2 days from then, guess what happened later that evening? I receive a text from Brooklyn Moving Inc say they are coming the next day not in two. Noticing a pattern? No communication between the companies at all.

Because I was told the wrong date from Mission Moving I was unable to do the date from Brooklyn Moving Inc, which then they obviously were not happy, thus I’m guessing why they “lost” my bed and box spring. The fact that this company will associate with a company like Brooklyn Moving Inc, tells you all you need to know.

Also they do let you change your move date as long as its’s within a year and at least a week out from the move. I did have to do this a couple times due to the Covid pandemic and even then they couldn’t communicate within their own company. The second time I had to move the date back, I called in, talked to a service rep and she assures me it’s all in the system…. Narrator: The date change was not put into the system. Days later I get contacted by a Zach Reid about my move at the end of March, the date that I had assured had been moved to my new date in July. Not really a big deal just another example of the lack of communication in the company.

From their reviews it looks like they might be solid locally, but DO NOT use Mission Moving for a cross country move, they will sell your move to the lowest bidder and you will get the results you’d expect. I got hustled but you don’t have to.

Hello,
We are sorry the move did not transpire the way we all would have liked. Unfortunately you were moving in the heart of moving season during a pandemic. At this time the truck and labor shortages were at a high and we and other moving brokers were doing our best to help every family. Unfortunately, some situation were out of our control and in some cases still are.
When moving items across the country broken/damaged items can take place. This is why the DOT requires every mover to provide 10k liability @.60 per pound. Additional coverage through renters/home owners/ or 3rd party is recommended.
The names that were mentioned as to employees of Mission have both been with the company for some time and are considered upstanding employees. At no time would we perform the practices of the accused. Things happen in the moving industry and we have to pivot to the best of our ability to make adjustments logistically. This is why contract states we cannot guarantee pickup or delivery dates. The inventory taken is based on the what the customer provides us over the phone. Contract states we are a broker in multiple areas. Most long distance movers broker jobs out.
Again, we are sorry if things didn't go to planned, we are a company of integrity and work hard to help families relocate.

Long-distance move from Lehi, UT to Myrtle Beach, SC

Worst moving company I've ever experienced

Would never recommend this company. They are incredibly dishonest, they outsource to other movers that do not honor any sort of agreement you may have with Mission Movers. They do not set proper expectations, and they have terrible communication. They're super nice and upbeat until they have your money and then they don't care. Don't be fooled by the "binding estimate", it means absolutely nothing.

We were quoted $4628.97 for 664 cubic square feet. They told us we would be getting a call a day or 2 before the movers came to do a final inventory and give us a final number. That never happened. The moving company they hired, APX, showed up a day earlier than we were told, on Thurs. Oct. 28, but we had everything that we had provided to Mission on the original inventory list ready to go. The mover had an issue with the piles of things being donated or sold that were laying around, and even though we told him multiple times that if it wasn't packed, it wasn't going, it seems like he struggled to comprehend that. He ended up quoting us $10k. We said that wasn't what we had agreed to. We asked him to load up the 664 cu ft that they had quoted us for the $4628 and he refused. Said he would have to come back on Saturday. Promised he would call us Fri. the 29th, our original moving day. He never called.

We called him and left a message Fri. afternoon, no response. We called Sat. morning, no response. Reached out to Chris at Mission on Thurs and Fri, who claims he spoke to the movers and told them to just move what was packed and ready and stop adding on all these crazy fees. By Sat morning we called and talked to Patti, who spoke to APX and assured us they would be there by the end of day to take what was promised. A guy named Paul from APX showed up around 4pm on Sat. the 30th in a small car, no moving truck, to see what we had. At this point everything had been moved into our living room to make it easier for them even though we were told they would take care of all of that for us. He told us there was no way he could move us for $4600, and it would cost us a minimum of $7000. We again told him just to load the 664 cu ft for the $4628 and if there was anything left over, we would transport it ourselves or sell it He still refused and left.

The options Mission gave us were to have them load the 664cf and pay the $4628, or have them load everything and see what it ended up being and pay whatever APX was asking for and we could go through restitution afterwards and we might get money back if discrepancies were found 90-120 days later. But the movers THEY hired still refused to honor the 664cf for $4628.

We contacted Chris again Mon Nov 1, and we asked to just have our money refunded to us since this issue was not being resolved. He said he would look at some options for us and call us back Wed. He never did. My husband called back Fri and he again asked for a refund since they had not offered any reasonable solution or communicated with us at all.

Mission is refusing to refund us at all, saying that we had not paid the full deposit so we voided our contract. Even though they told me it would be automatically withdrawn and not once in the multiple calls between October 22nd and November 4th was this EVER mentioned. They're claiming I was supposed to call in so they knew the money was available to withdraw. This was not communicated.

They're also saying we are the ones who refused services and were not ready to move at all both times the carrier showed up. This is an outright lie and I have multiple witnesses that were present that can back this up. They don't care. It doesn't fit their BS narrative. They didn't even show up with a moving truck the second time.

It's not even about the money at this point, it's the fact that both they and the carrier they hired are lying about the situation and I'm the one getting screwed over. Lost even more money having to scramble to find a storage unit, lost wages for having to take extra work off and now to hire a new moving company, plus the money we paid Mission already.

Official company response

Hello,

Mission Moving would like to start by saying this case is closed on our end, . This response is simple to protect Mission Moving's online reputation and to show readers what could influence cost to increase. Also, what is expected from customers, prior to day of service in the event they do not purchase additional packing. That being said, there are extensive, situational notes on this file as to what took place. Below we have shared some of the key points and dates they took place on.
On 10/07 customer reserved their move in which Mission Moving allowed them to make a partial make.

**Actual addendum added to contract**

("Nicole will be making a partial payment today of $600.00 and the second payment of $988.97 will be made on or before 10/22/2021 which will total the deposit of $1,588.97")

The remaining balance of $988.97 was never met. later that day a call was placed by customer to add an additional bed which was completed.
10/25 Appointment set for Quality Assurance call with customer (time to add or remove items from inventory prior to pickup)
10/26 Quality Assurance left voicemail for customer as they were unreachable to go over their inventory.
!st attempt at pickup- Mover were sent away by customer due to additional cost required for packing, Bulky fee's and additional items
Later customer called back and scheduled movers to come out again
When movers arrive- **they went there yesterday, customer totally unprepared. mounds of items not packed and she did not communicate to carrier that anything in a pile, not packed will not be moving.
The customer needed additional packing as well as bulky fee's for larger items that can not be stacked on.
Please see customer responsibilities prior to pickup which is very stand for the moving industry-
**PACKING YOUR ITEMS**

The move automatically includes moving blankets, moving quilts, pad wraps, and tape for all larger pieces of furniture. Unless you requested any additional packing materials as part of your estimate, you’re responsible for the following:
All boxes and bins should be taped closed. (No bags are allowed on the truck)
All glass and fragile items should be wrapped in bubble wrap and placed into a cardboard box. (Such as: T.V. 's, pictures, mirrors, glass table tops, etc..)
All Mattresses and box springs should be placed into mattress covers
All Dresser and desk drawers should be cleared of all contents
All items that require additional packing must be packed properly in order for them to be loaded onto the truck. It is greatly recommended that you have a checklist while packing your goods and label your boxes with your name and phone number.

**ESTIMATED PICK-UP**
Our customer service team will contact you the afternoon prior to the first day of your pick up window. At this time you will be provided your Pickup ETA and carrier information. If you plan to have someone stand in for pickup rather than yourself, please be sure to inform our company.

**WHY YOUR ESTIMATE PRICE COULD CHANGE**
The estimate we provided is based upon the description of inventory you provided to our representative. Of course, if there are any items not listed on this estimate, the space for those items wouldn’t be accounted for in the current estimate. It is important we have an accurate itemized list of all the items being moved in order for us to provide an accurate estimate.
Finally,
The root of the issues here is the fact that customer missed the extremely important QA call prior to pickup, especially being that items needed to be added. When this takes place on site it is a surprise to the movers and in some cases such as this one, they are not prepared, or do not have enough space for the additions. Also, prior to every pickup, we send out an email to every customer, this goes over customer responsibilities and what to expect on day of service. This lists the items that are packed by owner and what is packed by the mover which is only standard furniture unless additional services are purchased.

Finally, Mission Moving never received the 2nd portion of the deposit, therefore no compensation would be available for this move unfortunately. As the broker, our job is to locate a licensed carrier that has met of the requirements laid out by the Department of Transportation and dispatch them to the move. Being that we sent movers out twice on our cost, we feel Mission Moving did our best to accommodate this move and see that it was completed. Please understand, this was an over the phone estimate that was contingent on what the customer told us they were moving. Our contract is an open book and discusses what is covered, what can cause additional cost, and responsibilities for all parties involved. Unfortunately, when sending out a carrier funds are dispersed into the move especially when we do it twice. At the end of the day, Mission Moving lost money on this job due to the circumstances that transpired. We do apologize if the customer is unsatisfied with the services, this is never our intention. Majority of our moves go extremely well and we plan to see continue as we work hard through this unique time we are all experiencing in our economy.

Regards,
-Mission Moving Team

Long-distance move from Olive Branch, MS to Poway, CA

Talk is cheap, results are dismal

Mission Moving talks nice, but their words have nothing to do with reality. When we described our move (from Mississippi to California), with a delivery on December 14, we were told "no problem, 10-14 days average, max 21 days."

We had a pickup in Mississippi on Saturday, December 4. The driver told us he would take our stuff to the warehouse in Birmingham to unload. When I asked him why they would unload it, he said it was "to maximize our profits," put it on a larger truck for transport.

Monday, December 13 I called Mission Moving twice, left messages and no one called back.

On Tuesday, December 14, I called again someone told me our stuff was still in storage and he had no idea when it would be loaded to bring to California. He also told me they have up to 21 days for the delivery and specified the 21 days did not include Saturdays, Sundays or holidays. I reminded him that the pickup was on a Saturday so obviously Saturdays were workdays, and he told me they can do pickups when they want but don't have to deliver for 21 workdays. When I suggested that 10-14 days generally means up to two weeks and 21 days means 3 weeks, he said it's not his fault I didn't read the contract!

That afternoon I got an email that the movers were loading my stuff onto a truck for transport, but said I now owed over $300 ETXRA!

When our stuff arrived (on a SUNDAY!), many items were damaged because the actual moving company, Insta Movers, had crushed many of the boxes. We filed a claim for over $1000 and they offered only $105. Due to gross negligence on their part I think they owe us more.

Bill,
We are sorry for inconveniences caused on your move with us. Please understand you were moving during the Holidays and during Covid which caused shortages. Yes, every mover would bring goods back to the ware house in the event the load is not taking up an entire truck or an exclusive truck isn't purchased. This is standard for every single mover out there. The delivery spread is an estimate in which we the broker have no control over. Broken/damaged items are an insurance matter. The standard 10k liability @ .60 per pound is not much coverage. We would question why the additional coverage was waived when signing the Bill of Lading?
Boxes are never crushed intentionally. Boxes are stacked on each other, if the box is not of great quality, they can and do bend/mush. The white box in your picture does not seem to be a moving box and looks to have been used before.
Finally, we're hear working hard to ensure everyone has the best possible experience, however some situations are out of our control. We will communicate with the carrier and see if anything can be done on their end for you folks.
Thank you,
-Mission Moving

FAKE CONTRACTS. OVER CHARGING. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT

Mission moving IS NOT. Moving company, they are a broker. They are currently under investigation. KRISTY GREEN is a con artist!! Like hundreds of people who have been scammed by them, 2 days before my move I was called to go over inventory, and suddenly half of the things that I listed when I spoke to her and Michael Moron were missing, and I was told my move would go up $2,500. Little did they know I’m a paralegal and I knew what was happening. As soon as that happened I requested a copy of every conversation I had with them, and Kristy greens attitude made a 360!!! She was VERY defensive, and admitted that “she is human” and “everyone makes mistakes” you could hear the fear in her voice. She got nasty, hung up on me, changed her story 50 times lol and it’s been over a month and I still don’t have the recorded calls. The “contract” that you sign is NOT VALID. NOT LEGAL. It’s has over 30 violations!! Kristy green tries to make it go away by saying “you signed a contract” NOPE. Please don’t fall for this.

They’ve already been sued once and they have another one coming.

ALL of my things arrived broken, and 2 boxes of clothes are missing . I have over 20 unanswered emails, and countless unanswered calls. Kristy green has this texting app and that’s the only way she responds. When confronted with questions, her answer is “Have a great day”. She made a fake email for a “legal team” that does not exist when we put her against the wall about the recorded calls we requested over a month ago. She’s so Dumb that she didn’t even realize that fake emails come back as undelivered. She can’t even keep up with her lies!

IF YOU HAVE BEEN A VICTIM OF MISSION MOVING YOU CAN CONTACT ME! I will guide you thru every step (free of charge) on how to get your money back and sue them! THEY WILL NOT CONTINUE TO GET AWAY WITH THIS!

in Kristy’s greens favorite words

“HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!”

Hello,
We are very sorry to see this type of review. Our goal is to ensure all customer have a positive experience when traveling long distance. Please understand when taking an inventory over the phone, we as the moving broker can only go off of what the customer tells us they are moving. Later, when we place the Quality Assurance call, customer have the option to add or remove items. When adding items the cost does increase. Our agreement is very standard for the industry, we mention that we are a broker many times for the customer to understand the moving process. This is a broker driven industry, to largest movers in the country with 100's of truck sub contract jobs out.
When there is a discrepancy with a move, we would review the file and come up with options for the customer. In the event they do not like the option and want to call non-stop and send numerous emails, there is only some much we can do. We have company policies in place for a reason and do not have the ability to negotiate with customers.
We are sorry this customer has these opinions, as this is not the imagine we wish to portray nor is it the business practices we perform.

Long-distance move from Nebraska to Rhode Island

Terrible.

No one showed up when I booked my move months in advance. I paid $1000 deposit after being pestered into their service. They are a broker and not a legit moving company. When the day of my move came around, no one arrived I finally got in touch with their customer service line and was informed that someone would come the next day. No one shows up. I went through the process again and was given another 2 day window for pickup. I finally cut my losses and made other arrangements. I was told by Lisa that I would get most of my deposit back, however I was scammed into only getting the 2nd installment,

Leaving $1000 in their pockets without providing me with any service.

When I inquired about this, I was called a liar and insulted. They made no attempts to remedy the situation and threatened legal action.

Do NOT GIVE a cent of your money to these people.

Hello Dustin,
We do apologize for the issues with pickup, your move was coming out of a very obscure area of NE. I shows on your file that we agreed to offer you a substantial compensation offer in which you signed agreeing that the matter was satisfied and you were pleased, then later when you got funds back you took action to harm us on review sites. We take responsibility for any issues on our end but didn't deserve what you later did. You signed a contract stating we are a broker and do not guarantee pickup or delivery dates. This move was being done in the heart of moving season and we did all we could you facilitate the pickup for you, we just asked for some patience and unfortunately that wasn't possible.
